This CAT6 outdoor cable is a 305-metre box of solid bare-copper network cable with a UV- and water-resistant jacket for external runs between buildings, to CCTV cameras, access points and gates. About CAT6 outdoor copper cable
Outdoor CAT6 differs from indoor cable in two ways that matter: the jacket is a tougher polyethylene compound that resists sun and moisture, and (in this cable) the conductors are solid bare copper, which is what lets it carry Gigabit and Power-over-Ethernet the full 100 m without the voltage drop and heat problems of copper-clad aluminium. The internal cross-shaped spline keeps the pairs apart to hold crosstalk down at 550 MHz.
